As Senior Room Leader for our multiple baby rooms you will work closely with the Nursery Manager and Deputy Nursery Manager to ensure compliance, team engagement and outstanding results. You are responsible for providing leadership, direction and guidance within your team. You will support your colleagues to deliver exceptional care and early education ensuring performance standards are consistently met. Ensure that educational strategies and practices are consistent across multiple rooms and in outdoor play. Lead the planning and delivery of activities adapting the curriculum to meet the diverse needs of the children. Mentor and develop other nurses promoting a collaborative and high-performing team. Oversee the wellbeing and safeguarding of children making necessary adaptations to support children with additional needs. Foster strong relationships with parents keeping them informed of their child's development. Ensure compliance with health safety and safeguarding protocols across the centre.Strong leadership organisational and communication skills. Good level of knowledge of all health and safety policies and procedures that are relevant in early years settings. This includes safeguarding, emergency and security procedures. As a Room Leader, it is very important the environment created meets all standards and guidelines of the EYFS, including the Characteristics of Effective Teaching and Learning (CoETL) and the children’s individual needs and interests. Leaders need to be able to think ahead and adjust care and resources to meet EYFS guidelines, as aspects can change. Room Leaders will often discuss with the management team long-term planning ideas or any major changes in practices.
