Job Overview
We are an established manufacturing company based near Pewsey seeking a Production Operative/Trainee Shift Supervisor to join our team on a permanent basis.
Hours (during training period) - Monday to Friday 6.00am to 2.00pm
Hours (when fully trained) - Night shift 10.00pm to 6.00am
In addition to these hours you will be required to work a reasonable amount of additional hours when necessary, which will include some weekend work.
Duties
- Filling moving floor with raw material
- Checking pack weights
- Checking metal detector
- Checking printer
- Verifying barcodes
- Completing weight sheet
- Stacking & wrapping pallets
- Using fork truck to despatch pallets
- Ensuring that all product is produced to standard; having good product knowledge that is always up to date; adhering to all QA guidelines; ensuring efficient line speeds; ensuring that all equipment is in safe and efficient working order.
- Communicating with team members to meet production targets and deadlines and update the oncoming shift on all production.
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Assisting in troubleshooting mechanical issues as they arise during production.
- Documenting production activities accurately for quality control purposes.
Experience
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred but not mandatory
- This role would suit someone coming from a production/agricultural background and any forklift/telehandler certificates would be useful, although full training will be given.
Having your own transport is essential for this position due to our rural location.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £15.00-£17.00 per hour
