Job Overview
Seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Freelance Piano Teacher to join our music school team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality piano lessons in either your own home studio or students' home to students of various ages and skill levels, ensuring a positive and inspiring learning environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for graduate music students , gap year students with a Grade 8 in piano.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging and tailored piano lessons to students, adapting teaching methods to individual needs and learning styles.
- Prepare lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and student goals.
- Provide constructive feedback to support student progress and confidence.
- Maintain a professional and encouraging atmosphere during lessons.
- Communicate effectively with students and, where appropriate, with parents or guardians regarding progress and upcoming lessons.
- Manage lesson schedules efficiently, including rescheduling sessions when necessary.
Requirements
- Proven experience in teaching piano or Grade 8 level in Piano
- Formal qualification in music or piano performance is preferred but not essential if accompanied by substantial teaching experience.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and inspire students of all ages.
- Organisational skills to manage lesson planning and scheduling effectively.
- A friendly, professional demeanour with a passion for music education.
- Ability to adapt teaching approaches to suit different learning styles and abilities.
- A recognised DBS check or willingness to undergo one prior to employment is desirable. This position offers flexible hours suitable for individuals seeking part-time work or supplementary income, with paid sessions included in the role.
- Driving license and own car.
Pay: £15.00-£25.00 per hour
