About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Construction Site Supervisor/ Manager to oversee and coordinate construction projects across multiple sites.
This is a hands-on role for someone who can take responsibility for getting sites properly set up, organising and directing workers, maintaining high standards of health and safety, and ensuring work is completed efficiently and to the required standard.
The successful candidate will be comfortable managing several jobs at the same time, moving between sites as required, while also being prepared to work directly on site when necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up new construction sites and ensure they are properly organised and ready for work.
- Coordinate workers, subcontractors and site activities.
- Clearly brief workers on the work required and ensure tasks are completed correctly.
- Supervise day-to-day site operations across multiple projects.
- Ensure all sites are safe, clean, organised and compliant with relevant health and safety requirements.
- Identify and address site hazards and unsafe working practices.
- Check that materials, tools and equipment are available and being used correctly.
- Monitor progress and ensure work is completed on schedule and to a high standard.
- Liaise with management, clients, subcontractors and other trades as required.
- Visit and supervise multiple sites during the working week.
- Step in and carry out practical construction work when required.
- Resolve day-to-day problems on site and keep projects moving.
- Report progress, issues, delays and requirements to management.
- Take ownership of the overall running of sites and ensure jobs are completed properly.
