The HCP UK office is based in Bournemouth, Dorset BH4 9DW. The target of the UK office is to promote HCP in the UK, /ta/y, Scandinavia, Turkey and the Middle East supporting existing customers and building new business to grow sales.
The UK office also generates trends and global marketing materials for the HCP Group
OUTLINE OF ROLE :
HCP is recruiting a highly motivated and dynamic Junior Project Manager, with outstanding communication skills, to be based in HCP UK office, reporting to the Head of Product
The role of the Junior Project Manager is to support the sales and technical team in tasks such as quotations, project development, project sampling and quality management.
MISSION : To respond to new and follow enquiries and projects to ensure a healthy project development until delivery. Support the sales team to secure and realise business opportunities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage customer enquiries responding with a commercial proposal advising any technical constraints.
ln charge of the all-project parameters (sampling, tooling, production and planning/CPA's) under the Head of Produst supervision
Help anticipate and serve quality and development problems.
Understand decorating techniques and propose solutions to realise an aesthetic finish.
Good communication with customers and fillers, providing an interface between HCP factories at all levels
MAIN ACTIVITIES
Enquiry Handling
· Work closely with the Sales Manager to analyse and scope the brief considering bath technical and commercial parameters.
· Define if custom design or stock item proposal according to the request.
· Scope new opportunities, understanding the price position of the pack, quantity and filling location.
· Learn and ultimately have a strong knowledge of HCP stock packs and their advantages across all product categories, engaging Product support where necessary.
· Brief and review cost analysis & technical realisation with HCP factories based on the concept.
· Learn and manage the opportunity via the opportunity management system (OM)
· Prepare quote/technical offers/presentation to the customer in conjunction with the Sales Manager and the Head of Product utilising resources in the group for support to present the strongest offer.
· Understand sustainability requirements and incorporate sustainable solutions into the response.
Project Development
· Develop a detailed Project Plan/ CPA to monitor and track progress of the Project
· Responsible for completing all tasks within the project development and listed on the Project Plan: tooling, sampling, production, quality and 1st PO placement; despatch and method of shipment
· Develop custom solutions with support from the design team and launch of 3D models with prototyping team and Packaging Development Manager
· Maintain good communication with the customer to manage expectations; organise and lead Project Review Meetings with the customer
· lntegrate the Quality Department in conjunction with the Packaging Development Manager in the project at an early stage.
· Report and communicate efficiently with functional and operational hierarchy
· Develop and manage efficient communications & strong relations with HCP-plants
· Arrange distribution of correspondence/samples/range boards as required to customers & plants
· Ensure customer files are kept up to date and properly archived when complete.
· Create and maintain a progress summary of all Projects, track project development costs
· Handle the 1st launch, linking into Logistics team to communicate all relevant information on new products and work together to transition the new pack to delivery,
· Support the communication of any extraordinary costs such as air freight, resin upcharges or shipping upcharges.
· Understand and communicate sustainable solutions and manage the process to incorporate in the development, in conjunction with technical teams.
Analysing:
· Probe for further information or greater understanding of a problem during development.
· Make rational judgements from the available information and analysis.
· Produce workable solutions to a range of problems in order to add value to a project. Review existing client Products on a Quarterly basis with the Sales Manager and Head of Product to consider any cost saving opportunities and sustainable options that HCP can proactively suggest to clients.
Quality Environment:
· Work closely with the plant supported by the Packaging Development Manager to set specification, follow customer feedback/approval of range boards and ensure AQL's are aligned for projects.
· Work with the Head of Product to set all quality parameters ensuring products are produced within the quality expected and approved during the development.
SKILLS:
· Experience of successful customer service/development in beauty packaging
· Ability to gain and maintain strong professional relationships
· Excellent written and oral skills in English. languages an advantage
· Energetic & autonomous working attitude with a need ta be based in the UK office
· Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time in a high paced environment
· Strong team worker
· Good presentation & negotiation skills
· Understanding of the challenges of developing new packaging
· Understanding sustainable requirements from customers
· Computer literate/strong IT skills - word; excel; PPT
· Ability to use digital communication platforms: Zoom; Microsoft Teams; XY link to host and participate in virtual meetings
Pay: £30,000.00 per year
