Occupational Therapist (OT) / Speech & Language Therapist (SaLT)

Pay: From £30.00 per hour + (PAYE) | Dependent on experience

Active SEN are currently recruiting experienced Occupational Therapists (OTs) and Speech & Language Therapists (SaLTs) to support children and young people within specialist SEN schools, alternative provisions, and mainstream schools with SEND.
This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to pupils with a range of additional needs while working within supportive multidisciplinary teams.
The Role
- Deliver assessments, interventions and therapy programmes for children with SEND.
- Support pupils with Autism (ASD), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, sensory processing needs, SEMH, physical disabilities, and complex learning needs.
- Provide 1:1 and small group therapy sessions.
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, parents, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Contribute to EHCP assessments, annual reviews, and therapy targets where appropriate.
- Promote pupils' communication, independence, emotional wellbeing, and access to learning.
Requirements
- HCPC Registration as an Occupational Therapist or Speech & Language Therapist.
- Experience working with children and young people is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
- A passion for supporting children with additional needs.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
