Our warehouse and distribution operation is central to delivering a seamless experience for every customer and every store.
Role Purpose
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the day-to-day running of MDV's distribution centre, ensuring the accurate, efficient, and timely fulfilment of D2C customer orders and retail store replenishment. - Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, including goods-in, put-away, picking, packing and dispatch for both D2C online orders and retail store deliveries.
- Set and monitor daily/weekly productivity, accuracy and dispatch targets, ensuring service levels are met for both e-commerce and store replenishment channels.
- Manage stock accuracy through regular cycle counts and stock takes, investigating and resolving discrepancies.
- Ensure the warehouse management system (WMS) and stock records are maintained accurately and kept up to date.
- Drive continuous improvement in warehouse layout, processes and workflows to increase efficiency and reduce cost-to-serve.
- Own health & safety compliance across the site, including risk assessments, equipment checks, and staff training.
- Manage relationships with courier and logistics partners to ensure timely, cost-effective dispatch and delivery.
- Recruit, induct, train and performance-manage warehouse staff, working closely with People Operations on employee relations matters.
- Plan resourcing and capacity ahead of peak trading periods (e.g. sales events, seasonal launches) to ensure the operation can flex to demand.
- Report on key operational KPIs (accuracy, productivity, cost per unit, on-time dispatch) to senior leadership.
- Manage warehouse budgets, including labour costs, consumables and equipment.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant employment, health & safety, and manual handling legislation.
