HGV Mobile Technician Role Description
We are seeking a Mobile HGV Technician to join our team to bring vehicle maintenance and repairs in house to keep our ever growing fleet of vehicles roadworthy and to a high standard. Travelling between our sites in Leconfield and Catterick. You will be responsible for ensuring our vehicles meet the highest possible standard of road worthiness including breakdowns..
This is a chance for the right candidate to be at the forefront of developing the motor vehicle engineering side of the business.
Duties will include:
-Managing your own time based on a 42.5 Hour week. Usually between the hours of 6am and 3pm (OT will be paid at the normal rate)
-Travelling between the MoD sites in Leconfield and Catterick, you will be responsible for repairs and maintenance of vehicles on site. Collecting parts where necessary for vehicle repairs
-MOT preparations and presentation.
-PMI 6 weekly inspections and defect rectification to the highest quality standards
-Running repairs of both Trucks and Trailers
-Diagnostics and rectification of various vehicles models including DAF, Renault, Mercedes, Schmitz, BPW, SAF trailer axle configurations
-Completing all required paperwork to a high standard
-Face to face dealings/communications with customers and employees.
