Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and skilled CNC Operator to join our busy machine workshop. You will run and manage our advanced Schüco AF 310 4-axis CNC machine. Your main job is to cut, drill, and mill steel profiles with extreme accuracy for high-end security door and facade projects. Full training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
· Set up, program, and operate the Schüco AF 310 CNC machine safely and efficiently.
· Load and clamp steel profiles using motorized clamping and tooling systems.
· Inspect finished parts against technical drawings and quality standards.
· Perform routine daily maintenance and cleaning of the machinery.
· Troubleshoot minor operational errors and adjust machining parameters as needed.
· Work closely with the assembly and production teams to hit project deadlines.
· Set up, program, and operate the Schüco PDG 400 Steel Saw safely and efficiently. (This would only apply when the main operator is on annual leave or absent).
· Operate the Combilift (Forklift) to load/unload materials and hardware. Accredited operator training will be provided if needed.
· Checking off material/hardware stock and report low-level stock to manager.
· Deliver completed machined jobs to fabricators.
Requirements & Qualifications
· Proven experience operating CNC machinery in a steel fabrication environment.
· Experience using SchueCam is desirable but not essential.
· Familiarity with Schüco profile systems and fabrication software is desirable.
· Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and CAD data.
· Strong focus on workplace safety, precision, and quality control.
· Good problem-solving skills and a reliable work ethic.
Pay: From £16.50 per hour
Expected hours: 38.0 per week
