Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Service Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering excellent customer service, supporting sales through upselling, and ensuring smooth daily operations. The Service Assistant will be responsible for assisting customers, handling transactions, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere within our establishment.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide assistance with their needs
- Promote products and services through effective upselling techniques
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the service area
- Support the team in stock replenishment and product display organisation
- Address customer enquiries promptly and professionally
- Assist with basic mechanical tasks if required, utilising mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor issues
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards at all times
Experience
- Previous experience in customer service or retail is desirable but not essential; training will be provided
- Knowledge of upselling techniques to maximise sales opportunities
- Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for supporting minor equipment maintenance or troubleshooting
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, approachable manner
- Experience handling cash transactions accurately and responsibly
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
