About the role
We are looking to appoint a full-time Warehouse Operative/Relief Class 2 HGV Driver to support the day-to-day operations of our warehouse and provide delivery cover when required.
The successful candidate will be responsible for accurately receiving, storing, picking and loading stock, while delivering excellent customer service at all times. They will help maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment, ensuring stock is stored correctly and kept in optimum condition. When required, they will also act as a relief Class 2 HGV Driver, safely transporting goods to customers and other locations in line with company schedules and legal requirements.
The role requires a strong commitment to health and safety, teamwork and customer service, ensuring high standards are maintained across all warehouse and driving activities.
About You
The ideal candidate will have the following attributes:
- Eligibility to work in the UK
- Valid Class 2/Category C Driving Licence
- Valid CPC Card and Tachograph Card
- A minimum of two years’ HGV driving experience
- A professional approach
- Excellent customer service
- A good knowledge of drivers’ working time and driving hours regulations
- Pick stock according to sales requirements and load vehicles in the correct manner.
- Operate a fork lift truck to move stock as required in a safe manner at all times and in accordance with training received.
- Carry out health and safety checks in respect of racking, walkways, stacks and deal with other infrastructure / storage issues as instructed. Work within the procedures and guidelines, according to health and safety legislation.
