Overview
We are seeking a skilled Joiner to join our team, responsible for constructing, installing, and repairing structures and fixtures made from wood and other materials. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in joinery and be comfortable working with various tools and equipment. This role requires a commitment to quality craftsmanship and attention to detail, ensuring that all work meets the highest standards.
Duties
- Construct and assemble wooden structures, including roofs, frames, and cabinetry.
- Use power tools and hand tools to cut, shape, and join materials.
- Fabricate components according to specifications and drawings.
- Ensure all installations are plumb, level, and square.
- Perform masonry work as required for specific projects.
- Carry out painting tasks to finish surfaces as needed.
- Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to ensure project completion.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following health and safety regulations.
Skills
- Proficient in joinery techniques with experience in heavy lifting.
- Strong knowledge of power tools and hand tools used in the trade.
- Ability to assemble structures accurately while adhering to design specifications.
- Familiarity with roofing techniques is advantageous.
- Basic masonry skills are a plus for integrated construction tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members.
