Cedar Oak Healthcare is a growing homecare provider supporting adults in their own homes across Surrey. We are looking for an experienced, compassionate and compliance-focused Registered Domiciliary Care Manager to lead our service and help us continue delivering safe, high-quality, person-centred care.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong domiciliary care management experience who understands CQC requirements, enjoys leading a team, and is confident managing both care quality and day-to-day operations.
As the Registered Manager, you will hold responsibility for the safe and effective running of the service. You will oversee care delivery, compliance, audits, staff supervision, care planning, safeguarding, recruitment, and service development.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the CQC Registered Manager for the service.
- Maintain full compliance with CQC standards and regulatory requirements.
- Lead the service towards achieving and maintaining a minimum CQC rating of “Good”.
- Complete and oversee care needs assessments, risk assessments and person-centred care plans.
- Audit care records, MAR charts, staff files and quality assurance systems.
- Act as Safeguarding Lead and ensure incidents, concerns and complaints are handled appropriately.
- Manage a mixed caseload of private clients and local authority/social services packages.
- Support, supervise and develop Care Coordinators and Support Workers.
- Oversee safe recruitment, staff training, supervisions, appraisals and spot checks.
- Use Access care management software for care planning, rostering, auditing and service oversight.
- Build strong relationships with families, commissioners, social workers, GPs and other healthcare professionals.
- Support business growth while ensuring care quality remains the priority.
- Participate in or manage escalation for the out-of-hours on-call service where required.
Essential Requirements
- Right to work in the UK is required. Cedar Oak Healthcare is currently unable to offer visa sponsorship for this role. Applicants must already have the right to work in the UK.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Adult Care, or equivalent.
- Minimum 2–3 years’ management experience within a UK domiciliary care setting.
- Strong knowledge of CQC regulations and the Health and Social Care Act 2008.
- Experience managing care quality, audits, safeguarding and compliance.
- Experience working with local authority/social services frameworks.
- Confident using Access care management software or a similar digital care planning/rostering system.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
Desirable
- Previous experience as a CQC Registered Manager.
- Track record of managing or contributing to a service rated “Good” or “Outstanding”.
- Knowledge of the Surrey care market and local professional networks.
