Newgate Lane Pharmacy, Mansfield have an exciting opportunity for a NVQ level 2 Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. Our pharmacy team is made up of experienced Pharmacists, technicians and dispensers. This well established team is ready to open its arms to a new team player due to company growth.
As a Pharmacy Dispenser you will work in a well equipped Independent Community pharmacy with an experienced Manager and dispensary team that delivers a wide range of Pharmacy services to the local community.
We are looking for a dispenser who can join us:
Monday: 09:00-17:30
Thursday: 09:00-17:30
Friday: 09:00-17:30
Saturday: 08:30-12:00 (this will not be every Saturday, but holiday cover will be expected)
The hours can be flexible for the right candidate.
Your main responsibilities will be :-
* To dispense items under the supervision of the Pharmacist, both normal packages and assembling blister packs
* To receive and check prescriptions
* To give advice on "P" and "OTC" medicines and prescriptions to customers as appropriate
* To order stock and take responsibility for stock control
* To receive, unpack and check deliveries from suppliers
* To ensure stock rotation and carry out date checks
* To use the electronic prescription service
Qualifications and Skills
Essential Skills :-
* Accredited Dispensary Assistants qualification or equivalent (e.g NPA/Buttercups)
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* The ability to multi task. work well within a team autonomously and in a very busy dispensary.
Pay: £12.90-£13.25 per hour
