Purpose:
To provide and maintain a high quality standard of service for the client & customers whilst achieving high standards of service, cleanliness, hygiene, safety and working within all company & client policies & procedures
Key Responsibilities
· Preparation of all working, service, dining and bar areas. To ensure pre-service checks are carried out prior to daily service ensuring that all equipment and products are available throughout service period. Responsible for all sales and display areas looking attractive, clean and all products being available according to unit standards.
· Assist in the preparation and merchandising, of menu, snack, hospitality, bar and vending items, taking responsibility for service of food and beverages at all times. Following unit procedures to maintain high standards of food and beverage service to the client at all times.
· To maintain a professional image with customers ensuring highest standards of customer care. To visually know the key personnel by name and title and address them accordingly.
· Build successful relationships with customer, client, colleagues and management team, being flexible in assisting in the unit and other areas in response to business and customer needs. Any customer complaints to be dealt with and reported to your supervisor promptly.
· Taking cash and maintaining necessary sales records.
· Maintaining high standards of service in respect of food and beverages. Being able to describe each product, their content and being able to use positive selling techniques to maximise all sales opportunities.
· To promote team working and a friendly working environment with colleagues. To be flexible in assisting the team in response to the needs of the business.
· Attend daily briefings to ensure that you are aware of menu content.
· Cleaning and servicing equipment to the required standard, e.g. vending machines, coffee machines etc.
· Clearing and cleaning of all service, preparation and eating areas, utensils and equipment to the required standard and using the unit rota.
· Work within HACCP and HE regulations at all times.
· Demonstrate a professional, courteous and friendly attitude towards the client, staff and work colleagues at all times.
· To attend meetings and training courses as required.
· To assist with preparation and production of all requirements for special functions and evening events which may sometimes be outside normal working hours.
Site Specific Duties
· To assist in the delivery of vending services in line with company standards.
· To clean, rotate stock, replenish and record stock to the standards required.
· To report any faults to the Manager/Supervisor in charge.
Key Experience and knowledge required
· Experience in similar operations
· Proven excellent customer care skills
· High levels of numeracy
Pay: £8.00-£12.71 per hour
