HJ Talent is recruiting on behalf of a well-established children's residential home near Stone, Staffordshire.
This is a small, 3-bed home supporting young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). The home has a Good Ofsted rating and is led by a management team that genuinely puts the needs of the children first. They are looking for caring, reliable people who want to make a positive difference in young people's lives.
This role isn't always easy, but it is incredibly rewarding. Every day is different, and you'll play an important part in helping young people feel safe, supported and encouraged to reach their potential.
What you'll be doing
- Building positive, trusting relationships with the young people.
- Supporting them with daily routines, education and activities.
- Encouraging independence while providing guidance and reassurance.
- Promoting a safe, stable and nurturing home environment.
- Working closely with colleagues and professionals to achieve the best outcomes.
- Completing daily records and reports to a high standard.
What we're looking for
We're interested in people with the right values as much as the right experience.
You'll ideally have:
- Experience working with children or young people, particularly within residential care or EBD settings.
- A caring, patient and resilient approach.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- A full UK driving licence (preferred).
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and sleep-ins where required.
