Through growing contracts our development is continuous, and as a result, we are offering an exciting opportunity for an experienced pest management technician to join our team in the Chesterfield area.
What will my role entail?
The position will be fast-paced and demanding, focusing on troubleshooting pest-related issues for our diverse clientele to address their pest concerns. We believe in delivering outstanding customer service and problem-solving – it's the heart of our business.
We're looking for an RSPH Level 2 or equivalent to fulfil this role.
You'll be working 45 hours per week, with overtime available.
This van-based role will involve inspections and treatments for both commercial and residential properties, site surveys, and offering guidance to customers. Problem-solving and risk reduction are central to the way we work.
Role Specification:
- Must be Level 2 RSPH/BPCA qualified as a minimum.
- Attend sites to complete PPM (planned preventative maintenance) visits within agreed contractual timescales.
- Attend sites to complete call-out and follow-up processes within agreed contractual timescales.
- Complete detailed and thorough inspections as per the specification of the contract.
- Apply approved, relevant and robust treatments for the pest species being managed.
- Complete detailed and thorough reports outlining all actions completed, or to be completed, so the customer has a full understanding of the issue at hand.
- Identify and complete proofing that is covered within the specification of the contract.
- Identify and report proofing that falls outside of the specification of the contract.
- Ensure the customer portal/app is used and updated for completed visits.
- Provide feedback on sites experiencing issues so these can be managed quickly, with emphasis on pest risk to the business.
- Provide verbal feedback to the client at the end of each visit before leaving site.
- Work in a safe manner, following Contego’s codes of practice and manufacturers’ instructions.
- Complete any other ad hoc duties as required by Contego.
KPIs (Key Performance Indicators):
- Full understanding of the contract specifications.
- Maintain PPM visit frequency.
- Maintain call-out and follow-up frequency.
- Maintain site audit standard of a minimum of 90%.
Health & Safety:
- Promote a safe workspace in line with Contego’s H&S policies.
- Action any accidents, incidents or near misses in line with Contego’s H&S policies.
- Report any failures in safe systems of work within service delivery to continue promoting a safe workspace.
- Promote and use all correct PPE while completing work to help build a “lead by example” culture.
- Report any issues and training needs to the relevant person, or record them via the correct investigation process on Contego systems.
