Salary: £38,000 – £45,000 per year (depending on experience)

Jiomtys Auto Centre is a well-established, family-run independent garage with over 40 years of serving our local community. Due to continued growth, we're looking for an experienced and reliable Vehicle Technician / Mechanic to join our friendly team.

The Role
You'll be responsible for carrying out a wide variety of repairs and servicing on cars and light commercial vehicles.
Your work will include:
- Vehicle servicing and routine maintenance
- Engine diagnostics and fault finding
- Mechanical repairs
- Clutches and dual mass flywheel replacements
- Cambelt and timing chain replacements
- Suspension and steering repairs
- Braking systems
- Engine repairs
- Cooling system repairs
- Exhausts and emissions repairs
- Electrical diagnosis and repairs
- Air conditioning servicing (advantageous but not essential)
- MOT preparation and repair work
- Carrying out repairs to a high professional standard
- Maintaining accurate job records and working efficiently as part of the workshop team
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who:
- Has at least 3 years' experience working in a busy garage
- Can confidently carry out all aspects of mechanical repairs with minimal supervision
- Has strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Takes pride in producing high-quality work
- Is reliable, punctual and motivated
- Holds a full UK driving licence (preferred)
- Level 3 NVQ or equivalent qualification is desirable but experience is equally valued
