Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Construction Labourer to join our dynamic team on various building sites. This role involves lodging away most weekdays transport and accommodation with an allowance is provided, assisting skilled tradespeople and contributing to the successful completion of construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and experience or interest in diverse construction disciplines such as flashing, cladding, timber work . This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to develop their skills within the construction industry while gaining practical experience on-site.
Duties
- Assist with general site preparation, including clearing and organising materials.
- Support tradespeople with specialised tasks
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently under supervision.
- Help with the fabrication and assembly of components according to schematics and technical drawings.
- Carry out basic carpentry tasks including measuring, cutting, and fitting materials.
- Assist in the installation of panels, sheeting.
- Ensure work areas are kept clean and safe at all times in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Support site supervisors in managing materials and ensuring timely progress of projects.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of hand tools and power tools used in construction environments.
- Ability to read schematics or technical drawings is advantageous but not essential.
- Good physical fitness with the ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to safety procedures on-site.
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different roles within the construction process.
- Valid safety certifications or relevant training are a plus but not mandatory; training can be provided for suitable candidates.
