The Role
This is a dynamic, split-responsibility role. When you aren't managing stock in our Dartford hub, you will be out on the road acting as the face of our company, delivering critical parts directly to our local clients.
Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Warehouse Operations: Picking, packing, and dispatching orders with absolute precision, as well as booking in arriving stock.
- Local Deliveries: Loading and driving a small panel van to make urgent, local deliveries to clients and engineering sites.
- Customer Service: Providing a friendly, professional service when dropping off parts to our customers.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Ensuring the company van is kept clean, tidy, and roadworthy (checking oil, water, and tyre pressure regularly).
What We Are Looking For
Note: Experience with mechanical parts or engineering components is a massive bonus, but a great attitude and a safe driving record are our top priorities!
- Driving License: A full, clean UK Driving License (held for a minimum of 2 years for insurance purposes) with experience driving a small panel van.
- Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse, stores, or delivery role.
- Eye for Detail: Escalator parts can look similar but have distinct differences. Accuracy in both picking and delivering is everything.
- Physically Fit: The role involves manual handling, lifting components, and loading/unloading the van.
- Geography: Good knowledge of Dartford and the surrounding local road networks.
