Overview
We are seeking a skilled Car Fabricator/Welder to join our Classic Car team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in welding and fabrication, with the ability to work with various materials and tools. This role requires attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work. As a Fabricator/Welder, you will be responsible for assembling and fabricating classic car body work and components according to specifications, ensuring that all work meets industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely and effectively.
- Perform welding tasks using MIG welding techniques on various materials, including sheet metal.
- Assemble fabricated parts and components according to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with standards.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues and improve fabrication processes.
- Utilise basic maths skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication tasks.
- Demonstrate mechanical knowledge in the assembly of complex structures.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in car welding and fabrication, particularly with MIG welding techniques.
- Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools relevant to the fabrication process.
- Good mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Basic maths skills for accurate measurements and calculations.
- Experience working with sheet metal essential.
- A strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
