You'll be working on….
As a Site Agent, you'll lead the delivery of a diverse programme of highways and public realm improvements across Southampton and Hampshire.
You'll take ownership of projects from planning through to completion, leading site teams and subcontractors to ensure works are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards. Working closely with the local authority and wider project team, you'll be responsible for programme delivery, stakeholder management and driving strong commercial, quality and safety performance.
Key responsibilities:
- Managing day-to-day site operations and project delivery.
- Leading site teams, subcontractors and supply chain partners.
- Planning works and coordinating labour, plant and materials.
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards.
- Monitoring programme performance and managing project risks.
- Maintaining strong relationships with clients, stakeholders and local communities.
- Supporting commercial performance through effective planning, reporting and change management.
- Driving a positive site culture focused on safety, quality and continuous improvement.

About you….
You're an experienced Site Agent (or a Senior Engineer ready to take the next step) who enjoys leading teams and delivering infrastructure projects that make a visible difference to local communities.
You've worked within highways, infrastructure or civil engineering environments and understand what it takes to deliver successful projects in live operational settings. You're equally comfortable planning works, managing subcontractors, engaging with stakeholders and solving problems on site.
You lead by example, set high standards and create a collaborative working environment where safety, quality and performance come first.

You'll bring…
Experience delivering highways, public realm or civil engineering projects, ideally within a local authority environment.
A proven track record of managing site operations from planning through to successful completion.
Strong knowledge of NEC contracts, programme management and commercial awareness.
Experience coordinating subcontractors, suppliers and multidisciplinary project teams.
Good understanding of health, safety, environmental and quality management requirements.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Ability to identify risks, solve problems and maintain project momentum.
HNC/Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent experience.
SMSTS or IOSH Managing Safely.
