Occupational Therapist – West Berkshire Community Hospital

In this rewarding role, you'll assess, treat and manage a varied caseload of patients with complex needs on our inpatient rehabilitation ward, delivering high-quality, person-centred care that supports patients to return home safely.

This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm. Weekend working is not currently part of the service but may be introduced in the future.
We're looking for someone who has a degree in Occupational Therapy, a current HCPC registration and a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, as some sites are not reachable by public transport.

The post will be part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team within an inpatient setting which will offer assessment and treatment for patients in the west of Berkshire.
To provide supervision guidance to band 3 and 4 support workers in the therapy team.
To make recommendations to the wider MDT and to support with education of students.
To identify service developments, needs, contribute to the planning, development and evaluation of the service and have responsibility for defined projects.
To be responsible for a complex caseload using an interdisciplinary, patient focused rehabilitative approach with support from the senior therapists.

The “must haves” for this role:
Degree in Occupational Therapy along with HCPC registration.
A passion for working in a rehabilitation or intermediate care setting.
Car driver & possess full driver’s license to be able to drive in the UK.
