Thomas Grant Recruitment are looking for a reliable Class 2 Delivery Driver to join our client’s team in South Lanarkshire in the Food Distribution sector. This is a goodopportunity where you’ll be delivering goods to customers as part of a multi-drop route, who run a mix of manual and automatic vehicles, so you'll need a license that covers both!
5-day shift pattern, Monday to Saturday, with a rotating Saturday shift
06:00am around 9-10 hours a day
Salary - £17.75 ph Mon-Fri, £19.00ph Saturday
What You'll Be Doing:
- Driving Class 2 vehicles (manual & automatic) to make deliveries.
· Unloading goods at customer premises which may involve stairs and some lifting
- Making around 15-20 drops a day, depending on your route.
- Using a PDA with pre-loaded delivery details, alongside paper documents.
- Providing friendly and professional service to customers.
· Following road safety and food safety guidelines.
Training:
- 3 days of training in the depot prior to start date.
- 1 week on the road with an experienced driver.
- Ongoing support as you settle into the role.
What We're Looking For:
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) license for manual & automatic vehicles.
- Over 25 (insurance requirement).
- Experience preferred, but training can be provided for the right person
- Physically fit and okay with manual work.
- Good with rules and road safety.
- Friendly and confident with customers.
