Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) Support Worker / Personal Assistant (PA)

We are looking for a caring, reliable and compassionate Support Worker/Personal Assistant to support a young man with a spinal cord injury. This is a rewarding role where you will help him maintain his independence, safety and dignity while living in his own home.
Main Duties
- Provide person-centred support tailored to the client's individual needs.
- Support with hobbies, personal interests and social activities.
- Assist with smoking when required.
- Occasionally assist with dressing.
- Prepare meals and assist with eating and drinking where needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe and hygienic home environment, including laundry, dusting and vacuuming.
- Drive the client's vehicle (where your licence permits).
- Accompany the client to medical appointments, social activities and leisure outings.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and family members.
What We're Looking For
- Compassionate, patient and reliable.
- A positive, respectful approach that promotes independence and dignity.
- A full UK driving licence is essential due to the location.
- Previous care experience is preferred but not essential, as full training will be provided to the right candidate.
- Excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for supporting others.
Hours
- Support is provided 7 days a week.
- We are currently recruiting weekend support workers.
- Various shifts available, typically 4–6 hours per shift, with opportunities for additional hours.
Pay & Employment
- depending on experience.
