Excell Supply is seeking dedicated and compassionate SEMH Teaching Assistants to work in specialist settings and mainstream schools across Widnes. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are committed to helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and achieve their full potential.

The Role:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEMH needs.
- Encourage positive behaviour and help pupils develop confidence and resilience.
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging learning activities tailored to individual needs.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils to promote emotional wellbeing.
- Implement behaviour support strategies and assist with de-escalation techniques when required.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to support pupils' progress.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience supporting children or young people with SEMH, SEND, or challenging behaviour is desirable.
- A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
- A genuine commitment to helping children succeed.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
