About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Finance Manager to take ownership of our finance function within a busy hospitality business.
This is a standalone, hands-on role reporting directly to the General Manager, offering the opportunity to make a real impact by providing accurate financial reporting, maintaining strong financial controls and supporting operational decision-making.
You'll be responsible for managing the day-to-day finance function, including accounting, payroll and statutory compliance, while partnering with the wider management team to drive business performance.
What You'll Be Doing
- Managing the day-to-day finance function from transactional processing through to month-end reporting.
- Preparing management accounts, budgets, cash flow forecasts and financial analysis.
- Overseeing payroll, VAT returns and ensuring compliance with UK financial legislation.
- Maintaining accurate financial records and effective internal controls.
- Working closely with senior managers to provide financial insight and improve profitability.
- Supporting the annual audit process and liaising with external auditors where required.
- Identifying opportunities to improve finance processes and reporting.
About You
You'll be a confident and organised finance professional who enjoys working independently and taking ownership of the finance function.
You'll have:
- Previous experience in a Finance Manager, Company Accountant or similar standalone finance role.
- Experience managing the full finance function, including payroll.
- Strong knowledge of UK accounting standards, VAT, PAYE and HMRC compliance.
- Experience preparing monthly management accounts and supporting business decision-making.
- Excellent Excel, analytical and organisational skills.
- The ability to build strong working relationships across the business.
It would be great if you also have:
- Previous finance experience within the hospitality sector (hotels, restaurants, pubs, leisure or catering).
- Experience using cloud-based accounting software such as Xero, Sage or QuickBooks.

Pay: £38,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
