What You’ll Be Doing:
- Leading and supporting care delivery for young people in their daily lives, including personal care, education, hobbies, and life skills.
- Creating a safe, warm, and nurturing environment where young people feel valued, understood, and supported.
- Overseeing and contributing to care plans, monitoring progress, and ensuring each young person thrives.
- Mentoring and guiding junior staff, supporting their professional development and ensuring best practice is maintained.
- Leading team meetings, handovers, and debriefings, contributing to a collaborative and supportive staff culture.
- Promoting positive behaviour management through respect, consistency, empathy, and compassion.
- Coordinating family contact and leisure activities, helping young people build independence, confidence, and life skills.
- Acting as a role model in maintaining high standards of care and professional conduct.
Shifts & Pay:
- 12-hour shifts: 7am–7pm & 7pm–7am (waking nights or sleep in)
- Time and a half for hours worked over your monthly contracted hours
- £14/hr unqualified | £15/hr qualified (NVQ in Children’s Residential Care)
- We have a part time role available also - do apply if you wish for either full or part time
