We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Manager to lead our children’s residential home in Plymouth. This role involves supporting children and young people with learning disabilities and additional complex needs, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, child-centred care.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Oversee the effective management of the home, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulatory and safeguarding standards.
- Lead a committed team of care professionals to deliver exceptional support tailored to the individual needs of each young person.
- Promote positive outcomes, independence, and wellbeing for all residents.
- Work collaboratively with families, social workers, healthcare professionals, and education providers to ensure each child receives the highest standard of care and support.
- Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment where children feel valued, supported, and empowered to reach their full potential.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Previous experience working within a children’s residential care setting.
- Experience in a management role, ideally as a Deputy Manager or Registered Manager.
- Experience supporting children or young people with learning disabilities, autism, or complex needs.
- Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and person-centred care practices.
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards).
- Full UK Driving Licence.
