Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable Yards person to join our team. The Yards Person assists and supports theYard Manager, HGV Drivers, Depots and Operations Director.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to
Unload and load deliveries to the yard as required. Checking and noting delivery before passing to operations manager.
Maintain a neat and clean yard at all times. Ensuring products are stored safely and efficiently.
Monitor and loading of materials to ensure safe and efficient transport.
Record returns on correct paperwork the quantity and condition of the items. And notify Operations Manager.
Complete H&S Checks as notified and report any problems. Ensure that H&S policies are adhered to.
Asist Yard Manager with Stock control and stock takes.
Generate orders for delivery and collection and stock transfer with relevant quality control paperwork completed and correct labelling attached and packaged correctly.
Ensure safe upkeep and operation of forklift and telehandler.
Maintain yard tools and mechanical equipment to make sure that they are in a safe working condition.
Provide relief cover for colleagues, HGV drivers and depot customer advisers as required.
Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as needed
