We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Robotics Software Engineer specializing in Robot Secondary Development to join our cutting-edge team. Duties
- Develop and implement software for robot secondary systems, including perception, navigation, and control modules using languages such as C++, Python, Java, and Objective-C.
- Integrate hardware components like FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Arrays), ARM processors, and embedded microcontrollers with software solutions.
- Design and optimize algorithms related to signal processing, machine learning, and big data analysis to improve robot autonomy and decision-making capabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop UI interfaces utilizing HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Visual Basic for real-time monitoring and control.
- Conduct rigorous debugging, unit testing, software troubleshooting, and quality assurance to ensure robust performance across various operating systems including Linux and Windows environments.
- Utilize version control tools such as GitHub, SVN, and Git for efficient code management; employ tools like Jenkins and Jira for continuous integration and project tracking.
- Implement network communication protocols including TCP/IP, UDP/WAN/Wireless (Zigbee), Ethernet, VoIP, REST APIs, DHCP, and TCP socket programming for reliable data exchange.
- Perform firmware development for embedded systems using C/C++, Simulink modeling with MATLAB/Simulink environments; soldering skills may be required for hardware assembly or repair.
- Leverage cloud platforms such as AWS for data storage and processing; utilize database management systems like MySQL and Microsoft SQL Server for data handling.
- Participate in Agile methodologies like Scrum to ensure iterative development; contribute to documentation using UML diagrams within Confluence or similar tools.
- Support software testing automation efforts through Jenkins or other CI/CD pipelines; monitor network performance using network monitoring tools; ensure security through encryption techniques.
Experience
- Proven experience in software development within robotics or embedded systems environments.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages including C++, Python, JavaScript, C#, Visual Basic, Perl, PHP, Bash scripting, and Objective-C.
- Hands-on experience with FPGA design workflows; familiarity with ARM-based processors; knowledge of operating system kernels is a plus.
- Demonstrated expertise in signal processing techniques, machine learning algorithms, big data analytics, and application development for IoT devices.
- Experience working with hardware components such as Raspberry Pi or other microcontrollers; soldering skills are advantageous.
- Familiarity with network protocols including TCP/IP, Ethernet networking standards (e.g., VLANs), WAN technologies, VoIP systems; understanding of network security practices is preferred.
- Knowledge of software testing methodologies including unit testing frameworks; experience with test automation tools is desirable.
- Ability to analyze complex technical problems quickly; excellent troubleshooting skills across hardware-software interfaces.
- Experience working within collaborative environments using Agile/Scrum methodologies; proficient in project management tools like Jira or Confluence.
