Fencing Labourer – Security Fencing & Gates
Overview
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking Fencing Labourerto join our busy Security Fencing and Gate company.
The successful candidate will work as part of an experienced installation team, assisting with the installation of a wide range of security fencing systems, gates and associated security products.
Previous fencing, construction, groundwork or landscaping experience would be beneficial but is not essential, as full training will be provided. We are looking for candidates with a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn and the ability to work well as part of a team.
A full, clean UK driving licence is desirable but not essential.
A valid Green CSCS card is preferred but not essential.
Candidates must live locally within the Dudley area or within a communtable distance.
The Role
Working alongside our Fencing Installation Team Leaders and experienced installers, your duties will include:
- Reporting to the Fencing Installation Team Leader for daily job specifications and instructions.
- Working as part of a fencing installation team and carrying out manual tasks as required.
- Assisting with the installation of fencing, posts, gates and various security products.
- Preparing ground ready for the installation of fencing and gates.
- Digging post holes and assisting with concrete works.
- Loading and unloading fencing materials, tools and equipment.
- Preparing and clearing sites before installation work begins.
- Learning how to install a variety of security fencing systems and gates.
- Using basic hand and power tools safely and correctly.
- Carrying out installations safely and efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
- Working towards completing installations right first time and to an exceptional quality standard.
- Keeping work areas clean, organised and safe throughout the installation.
- Ensuring sites are left clean and tidy upon completion of works.
- Taking care of company tools, equipment, machinery and vehicles.
- Ensuring vehicles, machinery and equipment are in good working order and are operated correctly and safely.
- Following all company Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices.
- Wearing the correct company uniform and PPE at all times.

Experience & Qualifications
Essential:
- Must live locally within the Dudley area.
Preferred but not essential:
- Valid and in-date CSCS card.
- A full, clean UK driving licence is desirable but not essential.
- Previous experience in fencing, construction, groundwork, landscaping or a similar manual role.
No previous fencing experience is required for the right candidate, as full training will be provided.
