Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our civil litigation team. The successful candidate will provide essential support to our legal department, ensuring smooth administrative operations and assisting with case management. Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and organisation of legal documents, files, and correspondence.
- Conduct research and analysis to support legal cases and projects.
- Manage schedules, appointments, and deadlines for legal professionals.
- Liaise with clients, courts, and external agencies to facilitate communication and information exchange.
- Maintain accurate records of case files and ensure confidentiality at all times.
- Provide administrative support including drafting letters, filing documents, and handling incoming enquiries.
- Support the team during meetings by preparing agendas and taking minutes as required.
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies and legal procedures at all times.
Experience
- Previous administrative experience, ideally within a legal or professional services environment and specifically within civil litigation.
- Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex information accurately.
- Excellent organisational skills with the capacity to manage multiple tasks efficiently under tight deadlines.
- Proven customer service skills with a professional approach to client interactions.
- Familiarity with legal terminology, procedures, or software is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
