The Role
As a Principal Mechanical Engineer, you will:

Lead the mechanical design and delivery of building services projects from concept through to completion.

Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineers and technicians.

Manage project resources, programmes, and technical outputs.

Prepare and review calculations, specifications, reports, and design documentation.

Develop strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.

Coordinate with electrical, structural, and architectural teams to deliver integrated design solutions.

Support and mentor junior engineers, helping to develop technical capability across the team.

Contribute to business development activities and help identify new opportunities.
What We're Looking For

Extensive experience in mechanical building services design within a consultancy environment.

Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, heating, cooling, ventilation, and public health systems.

Experience delivering projects across residential, commercial, education, and healthcare sectors.

Proven ability to lead projects and manage client relationships.

Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

Chartered Engineer status, or working towards Chartership, would be advantageous.
