About the Role
Markcon Limited is looking for a friendly, confident and motivated Sales Assistant to join our office-based team in London.
The successful candidate will communicate with customers, promote our products and services, respond to enquiries and support the company in achieving its sales targets. This role is suitable for someone who enjoys speaking with people, has a positive attitude and can work effectively as part of a team.
Previous sales or customer-service experience would be helpful, but it is not essential, as training will be provided.
Main Responsibilities
- Speak with new and existing customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Explain and promote the company’s products and services.
- Respond to customer questions and enquiries.
- Build positive relationships with customers.
- Follow up with potential customers by telephone or email.
- Maintain accurate customer and sales records.
- Work towards individual and team sales targets.
- Assist with general administrative duties when required.
- Work closely with colleagues to support the daily operation of the office.
- Provide excellent customer service at all times.
Skills and Requirements
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Friendly, confident and professional manner.
- Strong customer-service skills.
- Reliable, punctual and well organised.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Comfortable speaking with customers by telephone, email and in person.
- Basic computer skills.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Previous sales or customer-service experience is desirable but not essential.
