Wilkes – Full Service Law Firm
We’re looking for a motivated, highly organised individual who enjoys working with detail and process, and who wants to play a key role in shaping how clients and entities are onboarded at Wilkes.
About Wilkes
Wilkes is a well-established, independent law firm in the Midlands, trusted by businesses, individuals, lenders and charities alike. What sets us apart is our people – collaborative, professional, and genuinely committed to delivering an excellent client experience. As the firm continues to grow, we’re investing in our systems and processes, and this role is central to that journey.
The Role
This is an opportunity to take ownership of our client and entity onboarding process. You’ll be responsible for ensuring new clients and matters are accurately and efficiently set up within our case management system, while meeting all regulatory and compliance requirements.
Please note: this role is focused on onboarding clients and entities, not internal staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting fee earners with client onboarding and new matter creation
- Conducting conflict checks and completing AML and ID verification
- Carrying out national and international searches
- Accurately setting up new entities within the Case Management System
- Maintaining clear, up-to-date records and producing onboarding guidance where needed
- Monitoring tasks, chasing outstanding actions, and meeting deadlines
- Responding to client and internal queries and identifying opportunities to improve processes
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the firm
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within legal or professional services
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Confident written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organisation and time-management abilities
- Competence with Microsoft Office and legal systems (experience with Partner for Windows is advantageous)
- A proactive, hands-on approach with the confidence to take ownership
What We Offer
Alongside a competitive salary, you’ll benefit from:
- 24 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays
- Additional leave over Christmas (typically Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve)
- The option to purchase up to 3 extra days of annual leave
- 8% pension contribution (4% employee / 4% employer)
- Life assurance at four times salary
- Cycle to Work scheme
- Employee Assistance Programme, bereavement support and free flu vaccinations
- Discounts on will writing and conveyancing services
- Paid volunteering time and an employee referral scheme
