Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Waking Night Support Worker to provide essential care and support during overnight hours in our New supported living service. The successful candidate will assist individuals in, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being throughout the night. You will be supporting individuals with a Learning Disability including those who may have autism and complex health and behavioural needs/ mental health needs. You will follow the care support plans for each client with respect and dignity. Duties
- Monitor clients throughout the night to ensure their safety and well-being
- Respond promptly to any calls for assistance or emergencies during the shift
- Assist with personal care tasks as required, respecting individual care plans
- Maintain accurate records of overnight activities and any incidents
- Support clients with basic needs such as hydration or medication reminders (if applicable)
- Ensure the environment remains safe, clean, and comfortable at all times
- Communicate effectively with team members and report any concerns or issues promptly
- Follow organisational policies and procedures to uphold high standards of care
Requirements
- Previous experience in a healthcare environment
- Good communication skills in English, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours while maintaining vigilance and professionalism
- Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in supporting vulnerable individuals
- Ability to follow detailed care plans and adapt to individual needs
- Reliable, responsible, and able to maintain confidentiality at all times
Pay: £12.90-£13.50 per hour
