Job Overview
We are seeking a Semi Skilled Sheet Metal Worker to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be involved in fabricating, assembling, and finishing sheet metal components, contributing to the production of high-quality metal products. Duties
- Fabricate sheet metal parts using hand tools, tooling, and basic machinery in accordance with technical drawings and specifications
- Perform grinding, bushing and assembly tasks to ensure precise fitting of components
- Operate hand tools safely and efficiently to complete assigned tasks
- Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety standards
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and quality standards
Requirements
- Prior experience or training in fabrication, grinding or mechanical work is desirable
- Knowledge of sheet metal properties and handling techniques
- Proficiency with hand tools and tooling used in sheet metal work
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations
- Mechanical knowledge or understanding of assembly processes is advantageous
- Ability to follow technical drawings and instructions accurately
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail
