Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Painter and Decorator to join our team, responsible for delivering high-quality painting and decorating services across various residential and commercial properties. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Responsibilities
- Preparing surfaces by cleaning, sanding, filling cracks, and applying primers to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
- Applying paints, varnishes, wallpapers, and other finishes with precision and attention to detail.
- Mixing paints and colours to achieve desired shades as specified by clients or project requirements.
- Ensuring all work areas are kept clean and tidy during and after completion of projects.
- Communicating effectively with clients and team members regarding project progress, timelines, and any issues encountered.
- Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times to maintain a safe working environment.
- Assisting with minor carpentry or repair tasks related to decorating projects when required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction painting and decorating or related trade.
- Valid driving licence is preferred to facilitate transportation between sites.
- Good command of English language for effective communication with clients and team members.
- Strong communication skills coupled with the ability to interpret project specifications accurately.
- Knowledge of health and safety standards relevant to painting and decorating work.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as part of a team.
