Across Lancashire, our safeguarding system is built on the strengths, commitment and compassion of the people who make it work. The Safeguarding Adults Board (SAB) is investing in dedicated capacity to improve how we understand, measure and drive adult safeguarding practice.
We’re looking for a Coordinator (Performance, Audit & Assurance) to join the Lancashire Safeguarding Business Unit (LSBU) and support the work of the SAB.
This role focuses on what makes our system strong — people, purpose and pride .
You will be the central coordinating point for safeguarding intelligence, helping bring people together around what they know, what they do well, and what we can improve together.
You’ll build positive relationships with partners, coordinate multi‑agency audit and assurance activity, and turn data into insight that improves outcomes for adults with care and support needs.
You’ll help the SAB understand what’s working well, where improvement is needed, and how we can continue building a safeguarding system rooted in Making Safeguarding Personal, reflective practice and shared learning.
We’d love to hear from you if you:
Bring experience in safeguarding, quality assurance, audits or performance
Understand adult safeguarding practice, policy and statutory duties
Can analyse complex information and create clear, accessible insights
Are organised, self‑directed and thrive in multi-agency settings
Are committed to person‑centred, strengths‑based practice
You don’t need to tick every box—what matters most is your approach, curiosity, and drive to make a difference.
Ideally, we are looking for someone to work full-time, 5 days a week, however if the right person should be interested in this opportunity, then we are willing to consider an alternative working pattern. We would encourage you to contact us and discuss options available.
If you want to contribute to safer, stronger safeguarding arrangements for adults across Lancashire, we’d love to hear from you.
