Responsibilities
- Safely operate container lorries across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify any maintenance or safety issues
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in compliance with legal requirements
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding schedules, delays, or issues during transit
- Ensure the vehicle is kept clean and well-maintained throughout the working day
- Follow all health and safety protocols to minimise risk during transportation and loading activities
Skills
- Proven experience as a commercial driver, preferably with delivery driver experience
- Strong knowledge of flatbed operations and securing loads safely
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record
- Ability to navigate efficiently using GPS or maps, with good route planning skills
- Good organisational skills to manage schedules and documentation accurately
- Physical fitness to load, unload, and secure cargo as required
- Ability to work independently, demonstrating reliability and responsibility at all times
