Duties
- Lead and supervise the kitchen team to ensure efficient food production and service.
- Prepare a variety of dishes according to established recipes and presentation standards.
- Oversee all aspects of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness within the kitchen area.
- Manage daily kitchen operations, including inventory control, ordering supplies, and maintaining stock levels.
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to develop their culinary skills and knowledge.
- Monitor food quality and consistency across all menu items.
- Innovate new dishes and menu items in collaboration with management.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food production, cooking, and kitchen management within a hospitality or restaurant environment.
- Supervising experience with the ability to lead a team effectively.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with a focus on team management and development.
- Experience in hospitality settings, including restaurant service and food preparation.
- Good understanding of culinary techniques and trends.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Previous experience in supervising food service operations is highly desirable.
