Gift Centre Sales Assistant – Full-Time
We are seeking a reliable, enthusiastic and customer-focused Gift Centre Sales Assistant to join our friendly team at Dundonald Nurseries.
Working Hours (40 hour contract):
- 9:00am – 5:30pm
- Full flexibility required, including Saturdays and public holidays
- Rota basis - working 5 days
Please note: We are closed on Sundays, with the exception of three Sundays in December during the Christmas period.
About the Role
As a Gift Centre Sales Assistant, you will play an important role in the day-to-day running of our gift shop, providing a welcoming experience for customers and helping to keep the department looking attractive, well-stocked and organised.
Requirements:
- Providing excellent and friendly customer service
- Operating tills and processing customer transactions
- Maintaining attractive and well-presented displays
- Replenishing stock and keeping the shop organised
- Assisting with seasonal displays and Christmas setup
- Supporting the wider team with the day-to-day running of the Gift Centre
We are looking for someone who is:
- Friendly, approachable and confident with customers
- Reliable and committed to their agreed working schedule
- Comfortable working in a busy retail environment
- Experienced in using tills and handling cash/card transactions
- Experienced in retail, ideally within fashion or gift retail
- Well organised and able to maintain high standards of presentation
An interest in plants, gardening and giftware would be an advantage.
Previous experience with Christmas displays, seasonal setup and stock replenishment would also be beneficial.
Additional Information
- This is a full-time, 40-hour position
- Due to the working pattern, this role is not suitable for students
- Full flexibility is required, including Saturday and public holiday working
- Three Sundays will be required during the December Christmas period
Pay: From £12.71 per hour
