Overview
We are seeking an experienced Support Team Leader to join a person-led service supporting individuals with complex needs. This role is ideal for someone with strong supervisory experience in health and social care ready to step into or develop further within leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support a front-line care team, including on-rotas and occasional on-call
- Ensure high-quality, person-centred care is delivered consistently
- Support individuals to build independence and daily living skills
- Supervise, coach and develop staff through training and guidance
- Ensure compliance with CQC and all relevant legislation
- Maintain accurate records, reports and risk management
- Build strong relationships with families, professionals and stakeholders
Person Specification
Essential:
- Experience in a supervisory/leadership role in health & social care
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to manage teams and deliver high standards under pressure
- Commitment to person-centred care and safeguarding
- Flexible approach to shifts, including weekends/on-call
- Working towards or holding Level 5 Leadership & Management (or equivalent)
Desirable:
- Experience supporting complex needs services
- Relevant care qualifications and training (e.g. MAPA, IOSH)
- Full UK driving licence
