Overview
Our Client is seeking a reliable Weighbridge Operator at their site near Lockerbie. You will ensure the smooth and safe operation of the weighbridge, managing incoming and outgoing traffic, interacting with drivers, adherence to safety protocols, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards., a Fork Lift License would be and advantage but not essential. Own transport is essential for this position.
Duties
- Safely manage all vehicle traffic entering and leaving the site.
- Brief drivers and operators on site rules and safety protocols.
- Verify drivers are equipped with the correct PPE.
- Operate both inward and outward weighbridge systems accurately.
- Weigh lorries and process delivery notes and tickets efficiently.
- Utilise IT systems to support operations.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with drivers.
- Attention to detail and ability to enforce health and safety procedures.
- Basic IT skills and an aptitude for learning new systems.
- Previous experience in the timber industry would be an advantage but full training is given.
- A team player with a flexible attitude
