We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to oversee daily business activities and ensure operational excellence across our organisation. Responsibilities
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the office, ensuring efficient administration and smooth business processes.
- Handle customer enquiries and maintain professional communication with clients, providing excellent customer service at all times.
- Prepare quotations, follow up opportunities, and support business development activities.
- Raise invoices and manage general administrative tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
- Coordinate engineers' workloads, scheduling, and resource allocation to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Manage water sample administration, including laboratory submissions and tracking of results.
- Review engineer reports and paperwork for accuracy, completeness, and compliance prior to issuing to clients.
- Support purchasing activities, including raising purchase orders and liaising with suppliers.
- Assist with accounts administration and provide information and documentation required by external accountants.
- Monitor and manage jobs from initial enquiry through to completion, ensuring deadlines and client expectations are met.
- Maintain company records, databases, and operational systems to support business efficiency and compliance.
- Provide general support to the management team and contribute to the continuous improvement of business processes.
Experience
- Previous experience in an operations, office management, or business administration role.
- Excellent attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in administrative tasks and documentation.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise workloads effectively.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Capable of working independently and using initiative with minimal supervision.
- Experience preparing quotations, raising invoices, and delivering high levels of customer service.
- Strong IT skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and business management systems.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients, suppliers, and colleagues.
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify issues and implement practical solutions.

Pay: £35,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
