Role Overview
We are recruiting a Decontamination / Sterile Technician to support the reprocessing of endoscopy equipment, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and maintaining high levels of patient safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean, disinfect, and sterilise endoscopy equipment in line with guidelines
- Operate decontamination machinery (e.g., washer-disinfectors)
- Track and log equipment through decontamination cycles
- Ensure compliance with HTM and infection control standards
- Maintain accurate records of processes and equipment
- Identify and escalate faults or equipment issues
- Work closely with clinical teams to ensure equipment availability
- Maintain a clean and organised decontamination environment
Requirements
- Experience in decontamination or sterile services (essential)
- NHS experience (essential)
- Knowledge of endoscopy equipment and reprocessing procedures
- Strong attention to detail and adherence to protocols
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
