Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Joiner to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and installing various wooden and other material structures on-site and in workshops. Duties
- Fabricate bespoke joinery components using hand tools and power tools in accordance with project specifications.
- Assemble timber frames, furniture, and other structures both on-site and within workshop environments.
- Install joinery elements such as doors, windows, skirting boards, and cabinetry on construction sites.
- Assist with roofing tasks, including the installation of roof trusses and related components.
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely to support construction activities.
- Carry out construction painting, masonry work, plumbing, electrical tasks, or other trades as required to support project completion.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure timely project delivery.
Requirements
- Proven experience in fabrication, assembly, carpentry, or joinery work.
- Proficiency with hand tools such as saws, chisels, hammers, screwdrivers, as well as power tools including drills and saws.
- Knowledge of roofing techniques, masonry, plumbing, electrical systems, or construction painting is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during various stages of construction projects.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations relevant to construction sites.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to follow technical drawings and specifications accurately.
- Physical fitness to work on-site for extended periods in different weather conditions.
- Relevant qualifications or apprenticeships in carpentry or joinery are preferred but not essential. This position provides an engaging environment for individuals eager to develop their skills within the construction industry while contributing to high-quality building projects.
