An exciting opportunity has arisen for a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join an experienced inpatient nursing team in Lymington, providing high-quality palliative and end-of-life care.
This role offers the opportunity to provide truly person-centred care, build meaningful relationships with patients and their families, and develop specialist skills within a supportive multidisciplinary environment.
You will play a key role in supporting patients with complex care needs, helping them to live as comfortably and fully as possible while providing compassionate support to their loved ones.
As a Registered Nurse, you will:
Deliver high-quality, compassionate inpatient nursing care.
Support patients with complex palliative and end-of-life care needs.
Work collaboratively with doctors, therapists, healthcare assistants and other specialist professionals.
Build meaningful and trusting relationships with patients and their families.
Communicate sensitively with patients and families about serious illness and end-of-life care.
Maintain high standards of clinical care and patient safety.
Contribute to a supportive and effective multidisciplinary team.
Continue developing your specialist nursing knowledge and skills through training and professional development.
Minimum of 2 years' post-registration experience as a qualified nurse.
Current NMC registration (Level 1 or Level 2).
Recent experience caring for patients with palliative care needs, cancer or other life-limiting illnesses.
Experience supporting patients and families through serious illness and end-of-life care.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A caring, empathetic and person-centred approach.
A mature, responsible and professional attitude.
Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including days and nights.
Previous hospice experience is welcomed but not essential. Applications are encouraged from nurses who are passionate about delivering outstanding patient care and keen to develop their expertise in palliative and end-of-life nursing.
