Job Purpose
To provide high-quality, person-centred care and support to residents, promoting their dignity, independence, safety and wellbeing.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care, including washing, dressing, toileting and continence support.
- Assist residents with mobility and daily activities.
- Support with meals, hydration and nutrition.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families and other members of the care team.
- Follow individual care plans and report any changes in residents' condition.
- Maintain accurate and confidential care records.
- Support residents with social and recreational activities.
- Follow safeguarding, infection control, health and safety and other care home policies.
- Treat all residents with dignity, respect and compassion.
- Report accidents, incidents, concerns or safeguarding issues promptly to the appropriate senior staff member.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a care home or similar care setting is desirable.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Caring, patient and compassionate approach.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Reliable and professional attitude.
- Understanding of confidentiality, safeguarding and person-centred care.
- Relevant care qualifications are desirable but not always essential, depending on the role.
Successful candidates will be subject to appropriate compliance checks, including right-to-work and reference checks.
Pay: From £13.00 per hour
